The City of Oregon is transitioning from the current Oregon Alerts system to Lucas County Alerts for emergency, weather, and community notifications.

All existing Oregon subscribers users who wish to continue receiving alerts will need to sign up with the new service through Lucas County Alerts. Existing Oregon Alerts accounts will not automatically transfer. New subscribers can create accounts at www.LucasCountyALerts.com

Lucas County Alerts allows residents to receive important notifications by phone, text, and email. Users can also customize their alert preferences and register multiple contact methods and locations so alerts are more targeted to their needs. Subscribers can register up to five addresses throughout Lucas County to receive geo-targeted notifications specific to their registered locations.

In addition to emergency notifications, Lucas County partners with local government entities to send notifications about information such as boil water advisories, road closures, refuse programs, and more.

Residents can sign up for Lucas County Alerts or by scanning the QR code below.

Text alerts from Lucas County Alerts may come from 89361 or 89362, and email alerts may come from “Lucas County Alerts” via noreply@everbridge.net. Residents are encouraged to save this information in their contacts as Lucas County Alerts.

The City of Oregon Recreation Department text alert system is also changing. Residents who want Recreation Department-specific alerts should text “OREGONREC” to 888777.

The Recreation alert list is separate from the general Lucas County Alerts system and is intended for Recreation Department updates and notifications.

The City encourages residents to sign up as soon as possible to avoid missing important emergency, weather, community, or recreation alerts.
