The City of Oregon is accepting applications for the position of Finance Director. Position reports to the City Administrator and is responsible for managing the fiscal policies and services of the City. Must possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, public administration or related field; seven years of general finance experience, five of which must be in an administrative or supervisory capacity in a public agency. Must be familiar with personnel management, budgets, and an all-around knowledge of running a combined finance/tax department with eight full-time employees. Must have excellent organization and communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with elected officials, employees, and citizenry. Preferred candidate would have a record of success managing diverse operations in a union setting.
