All job applications must be on one of the City of Oregon Application for Employment forms. Please check out the forms below and also available in the Civil Service office at 5330 Seaman Road. Applications will be accepted for positions requiring a written exam during a specific two-week window of opportunity that only opens once every one to two years. To find out the dates for these application periods, watch for ads in the classified section of the Sunday issue of The Toledo Blade. For non-tested positions requiring four-year degrees or special licensing, applications may be filed during the last full week of every month. For these non-tested positions, the Commission will review the applicant’s qualifications and those persons having the minimum requirements will have their names placed on the Eligibility List for the specific position for which they applied. Examples of such positions are Staff Accountant and Chemist/Bacteriologist II.

Oregon Fire/Rescue Department is a combination fire department with 21 career full-time firefighter Paramedic/EMT-Basic and 60 part-time members operating from 3 fire stations and 1 training center. The position will report directly to the Fire Chief in the "unclassified service" and be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to planning, directing, and evaluating Career and Part-time employees in all daily operations of the fire/rescue department. Oregon Fire/Rescue Department, Lucas County, Ohio is accepting applications to hire two Part-Time Fire Inspectors (24 hours per week) in the Fire Department. Oregon Fire/Rescue Department is a combination fire department with 21 career full-time firefighter Paramedic/EMT-Basic and 60 part-time members operating from 3 fire stations and 1 training center. The department provides fire and EMS services (3500 + incidents per year) to a population of nearly 21,000 residents. The City of Oregon is accepting applications for a Sewer Camera Operator. Position reports to the Streets Supt and is responsible for performing a variety of activities related to the operation, maintenance and repair of CCTV and high-pressure cleaning equipment; municipal wastewater collection systems and storm sewers; performs routine manual labor work required in general city maintenance and repair operations, recording data related to such, conducting inspections, and keeping records. Must have high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate and two years' verifiable experience operating and maintaining closed circuit television for sewer inspection; operation and maintenance of sanitary and storm water collection systems. Working knowledge in sewer and manhole rehabilitation techniques, infiltration/inflow mitigation techniques, service lateral inspection, flow monitoring techniques and root control management systems. Must obtain Class A Commercial Driver's License with air brakes and tanker endorsement within 90 days of appointment. NASSCO Pipeline Assessment program preferred.
