The Vietnam Veterans of America is partnering with the City of Oregon to honor our local military veterans. The Honor Veterans Program seeks to raise enough funds to have banners made and displayed throughout Oregon. The VVA is seeking to raise $14,000 to complete this project in its entirety. Funds will be used to have banners made and purchase additional hardware needed to hang more banners. Any person or business that is willing to make a charitable donation can do so by making a check out to Memorial Name First c/o the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 35. Donations can be either mailed or dropped off to the Eastern Maumee Bay Chamber of Commerce, at 4350 Navarre Ave Suite C Oregon, OH 43616.

The banners are to include local veterans that have an affiliation to the City of Oregon. Anyone that would like to have a banner made for a local veteran should provide the Veteran’s full name, Rank, Branch of Service, a photo, era of conflict of when they served, and if they are deceased, date of birth and date of passing. Also, submittals should include the veteran’s association to the City of Oregon. For example, if they lived here at any time, have family that lives or lived here, if they worked here, attended church here or otherwise have a connection to Oregon. Submittals can be emailed to ContactUs@OregonOhio.Org. If you would like to submit a name in any other way, you can contact us at (419) 698-7095 or visit in person at 5330 Seaman Road, Oregon, Ohio 43616 and ask for Cassy Rawson, Clerk of Council.

Thank you for your consideration and we look forward to seeing this project through with your participation. Thank you for contributing to the Honor Veterans Program.
