German American Festival
The Area’s oldest, largest and greatest ethnic festival! Savor delicious German food, experience authentic German music, folk dancing, and lots of fun activities and rides for the kids. The German-American Festival promotes the German and Swiss cultures and generates revenue to support the German and Swiss cultural center and other philanthropic programs in the Toledo Area.
Biggest Week in American Birding
A 10-Day birding event featuring workshops, guided birding activities, half-day birding bus tours, keynote speakers, and more. Hosted by Black Swamp Bird Observatory with spots for birding all around Oregon and the surrounding area. Festival headquarters is at Maumee Bay Lodging and Conference Center.
Walleye Fishing
In the spring up to 500,00 walleye fish make their way up the Maumee River and into Lake Erie. This event brings thousands of fishermen to the area just as the ice is melting off the river.
Farmer’s Market

Community Events
Boomfest, Oregon’s premier 4th of July celebration featuring family friendly activities and a large firework display in the evening. Oregon Fest and 5k, a springtime community festival that celebrates and showcases all things Oregon.
